Please take a seat, Actionscript

Few hours spent fighting verbally with the machine. Machine which understands the epic coding language – Action script. Like a dragon, which is hard to kill, but whenever you find a solution you feel solitude and pure euphoria.

Intership starts

First day as an Intern in the company. In fact there is nothing to mention apart that it’s really interesting and time just flies by. Already gathering resources and data for the project based on the internship and whilst keeping work logged I feel as safe as a baby in those protective mothers hands.

Meanwhile check few logo projects(on the right) I was working on recently.

Further updates and just blogging about “nothing” soon.

Meet Solvi

This is him, this is a guy, who absolutely owns the multimedia design side in real life.

Meet Solvi, the Icelandic crazy person. He likes few things: chewing tobacco, interaction and coding parts of this education, reversible gloves and girls. The last point is essential here.

Why so business?

businessexamtaskTwo days of filtering and studying a bunch of articles and books about the same thing, just from different perspectives made me crazy in some way. How can you solve a problem if you have ten hundred different ways to go?

Finally I’m almost done with this semester and am ready for the next one with Internship-placement. One more step closer to graduation. Applause? Thank you.

On the left side of this post you can see a task paper I’ve got 48 hours before exam (don’t mind the notes, which were done the same day I’ve got this paper – turns out I did the solution in very different way than started and planned to).

And some eye candies after a break with some people who went through “fire and ice” and fisheye:

Your business cards

businesscard2

First of all how serious I should write about it?

The more you spread your branches and evolve in the industry that provides learning, working and evolving capabilities, the more paths you have to check whilst working on something, which obviously involves business. I’m not sure if I expressed it in the right way or words, but what I was trying to say, was that you need some artifacts for example business cards to remind people that you’re still somewhere around and that they can contact you whenever they need something.

Doesn’t matter what you do, you can be a plumber super mario, taxi driver with a funny mustache, freelance pilot or just a business man in general, still that one piece of paper can help in a lot of different ways, maybe even change your life (uuuu, sounds interesting doesn’t it?).

Conceptual 3D modeling

boomboomJust before Christmas holiday I was working time by time on few external 3d conceptual modeling projects, which was a good field to try to make a reel about my 3d sculpting/modeling/rendering work-flow and skills.

As stop motion is already became a part of my vision towards video production I’ve tried to experiment a little bit more with it using only screen dumps and few real life snapshots:

cloud

cloud_logoWord cloud marks the beginning of totally free time and Christmas holidays. In about one month 3rd semester students were working on various exam projects. In our case – cloud, which needed knowledge not only from visual, interactive part but also business and communication to better penetrate the market and set the stable bridges for further development.

To illustrate better how we spend few moments (snow fight already revealed, but…) here are some random snapshots from photo session, used in one of the campaigns.

Stasys

Why does it feels so weird now?
Stasys as a normal Lithuanian name sounds really funny, at least for me, no offense, Stasiai!
Anyways here’s a latest 3D sculpture, which was named by the same name while making it. Moreover if it looks bizarre then I succeeded.

Thanksgiving

Happy turkey day everyone. Didn’t had any real turkey (live free long life, buddies), but instead I brought you the thanksgiving octopus.

Way not popular at Europe at all and who could imagine, that some guy like me would at least say thank you to few colleagues just because it’s thanksgiving.

octopus_for_blog

So what are you thankful for?

Thank you.

Exam tryout

Just prior the 3rd semesters project (third part from 4 to the finish line! :D ) we are having a possibility to attend the exam tryout, because of the external projects I won’t attend, but anyways.

Last friday all who wanted were able to pick a random envelope with the question or two and just like for the real exam prepare an answer in 48 hours (maybe a little bit more). Keep in mind the random subject from: Visualization, Interaction, Business, Communication.

I’ve got the Visualization one, so here’s how a question sheet looks like:

My thoughts and a plan + the main line for things to do to prepare for this exam – after a break.
